Biography
My name is Joanna Parkhurst. I’m 17 years old, and I will be a senior at Delta High School this fall.

I am very active in Student Council and this year I will be Student Body President. In addition, I play soccer and I am Captain of Delta’s Cheerleading Squad. I am also a regular volunteer at Fairytale Town in Sacramento and a representative on Delta’s Site Council. To leave my mark on Delta, I will be starting an Interact Club in order to contribute to Courtland and Clarksburg’s well-being through community service and outreach projects.

Upon graduation, I plan to attend Northeastern University or UC Berkeley to study Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. After I earn my masters, I hope to return to the Delta and work as a private consultant for local businesses.

For me, community is everything. I have come to deeply appreciate where I live and where my family planted our roots over 90 years ago. I enjoy being a part of the community, and I know that becoming Pear Fair Queen is a great opportunity to expand my role here and represent the place and people that I love.
